Lead Generation is a strategy of actively seeking new community members who fit the description of your avatar. At The Weber Co., we start by defining our avatar on 3 different levels: demographic, psychographic, and behavioral information.
This information tells us:
Where they hang out
What content they need to see
Their deepest fears and desires
How they make buying decisions
We take the information that tells us where they hang out, may it be a comment section of a public figure’s account, using a certain hashtag, etc. After finding them, we foster connection with them with the intent of leading them into our community-centred container as the first step in the marketing & sales funnel.
The 5 building blocks of lead generation:
Community-centered container
A community-centered container is a place to house warm leads. It needs to be somewhere value-based or a place where they want to be. A community-centered container should serve them along with being a functional piece of a marketing funnel for you! Since you have already done the hard work of defining your champagne avatar (if you haven’t click here) you know exactly what kind of content they need to see.
Options for a community-centered container could be a Facebook group, Instagram close friends list, Email list, youtube channel, text subscribers, etc.
Stellar consistent content
Public content should be shared constantly to nurture the existing leads who have not yet entered the container. This type of public content should be a happy combination of educational, personal and inspirational stories to foster connection and make them take inspired action.
Private content (exclusive content) should be shared in the private container as a way to keep your audience wanting to be there and wanting to invite their teams/community members because of the value and community.
DM Strategy
There is a huge difference between a “cold DM” and a “cold pitch”. The conversation has to start somewhere and the only way to take control of your business is to actively seek daily leads. Yes, this means that waiting for a TikTok/reel to go viral is not a sustainable source of exposure.
If you are just getting your feet wet with DM’s - try replying to Instagram and Facebook stories of the people who fit the description of your avatar. Track the conversations and where you are at with leading them down your funnel and remember to talk about THEM.

People do not care about what you know until they know how much you care.
Be interested and not interesting
Why do we love our parents so much? Because they loved us first. Love on people first.
Qualified Leads

A ritual & reward will help you form this task into a consistent habit that becomes enjoyable. Having good energy behind the real conversations you are having with real people is a key component to keeping quality conversations going daily.
A ritual can look like: Lighting a candle, putting on classical music, turning on the fireplace, putting on your favorite show, etc.
You can reward yourself after each session or weekly/monthly for staying consistent with your lead generation efforts.
A daily reward can look like: Taking a hot bath after, giving yourself some alone time with your favorite book, ordering your favorite food, etc.
A weekly reward can look like: A pedicure, a night out with your friends, a Yoga class, brunch or coffee alone, etc.
Filling yourself up after practicing lead generation allows you to keep your energy after pouring into others.
Important note: It is important to track the conversations you are having and where they are in the sales funnel. Without tracking you won’t have measurable results. You won't understand what is working and why it’s working. (This is something we help our clients with inside of BTC Academy)
