5-step strategy to multiplying your content

We know that content can be overwhelming for businesses, especially with the expectation to show up daily.

We wanted to share with you a simplified approach to content strategy that allows you to go deeper into one topic, instead of scraping the surface with just one.

Step 1: Map out your 5 content pillars.

More or less is fine, we recommend 5 because of the 5 days in a business week.

Content buckets are a topic that you talk about often in your content plan.

As an example, say you’re a Network Marketing coach, your content buckets could look like this:

  1. Recruiting team members

  2. Promoting product

  3. Social media

  4. Growing a team & duplication

  5. Your personal life

Having these topics will always give you an idea of what to create. These topics should always speak to your avatar’s needs and deepest desires.

Step 2: Write one idea for each of those buckets (just one!)

Sticking with the Network Marketing Coach example:

  1. Recruiting team member’s idea could be, “Closing new team members without presentations”.

  2. Promoting a product idea could be, “Attraction marketing done right”.

  3. The Social media bucket idea could be, “increasing your engagement”

  4. Growing a team and duplication could be, “hosting epic team calls”

  5. Personal life could be, “a day in the life”

Now that we have five content ideas let’s turn it into fifteen!

Step 3: Multiplying the content

We are multiplying the content by dividing each of the ideas for each topic into 3 different forms: entertain, educate, and inspire.

The first idea we had was attraction marketing done right. So from here, we can divide into those 3 categories.

  • Entertain: This could be a reel or a TikTok, a transformation story, etc.

  • Educate: Think how-to’s, live training, Carousel infographics, etc.

  • Inspire: A sense of story is also great here or an inspiring graphic/ carousel.

Step 4: Writing the copy & placing each idea into your content schedule

Now that you multiplied your ideas into 15, it’s time to schedule them out throughout the month.

If you post 5 days a week that is roughly 20 posts a month, so you have some options here with the other days:

  • You can leave room for inspired content ideas

  • You can plug in an additional personal post a week (updating on your life, your family, or showing behind the scenes)

Before you start writing the copy for your content, do a quarterly dump where you identify any promotions, important events, and main priorities that you have going on in order to make your content effective.

Form variations of calls to action that you can use between each content piece.

If you’re stacking offers, alternating the CTA’s to fit the most fitting post and sprinkling each one throughout the month focusing on the highest priority.

Step 5: Execute! It’s time to schedule the content

Ok, close your eyes, can you imagine a full month of content just ready to go? Sounds stellar, right?

Scheduling this content out is great for a few reasons:

  1. You don’t have to stress about it during the week

  2. You will have more time for more conversations (the only true income-producing activity is conversations, the rest is just a tool to start conversations)

  3. You can visually see it all together which is super nice and very rewarding.

Voila, rockstar! You’re done!

The two top drivers in sales are frequency & repetition. To be honest, I think this is a struggle for some people. In today’s world, it takes 30-50 touch points for people to think, “Hey, maybe this is for me.”  Being repetitive might seem counterintuitive, but it’s necessary, and despite what your mind tells you, it doesn’t annoy your audience. It builds trust.
